American Space Tallinn hosted our project for educators

In April and May thanks to the support of the American Space Tallinn MTÜ Tuleviku Meedia organised a series of media literacy seminars for Russian-speaking teachers from Tallinn.

During three days of training we covered several topics including different types of media and their business models in Estonia, journalism ethics, manipulations in media, fact-checking tools and tips, technology and media literacy, examples and sources – how to include media literacy into your lessons, how to check information before elections.

Training participants have visited Estonian Public Broadcasting (ERR) News house editorial offices and studios and met with ERR Russian-language radio and web news chief editor Tatjana Gassova. We discussed news criteria, how news reporters work, people and technology behind ERR news programs. We are very grateful to Tatjana for an inspiring and insightful meeting!

Lecturer - Tuleviku Meedia founder Julia Rodina.
